Os Producers Guild Awards 2018 aconteceram no passado dia 20 de Janeiro para a sua 29ª edição para celebrar os melhores produtores no cinema e na televisão.
Podemos considerar esta cerimónia como um forte indicador do que pode acontecer na noite dos Óscares no que toca aos vencedores, apesar de nos últimos dois anos, as previsões terem sido ao lado. Em 2016, os PGA escolheram The Big Short para Melhor Filme mas foi Spotlight quem levou a estatueta de Ouro. Em 2017, o vencedor nos PGA foi La La Land que também ganhou Melhor Filme nos Óscares… Mas não por muito tempo, até ter sido anunciado o verdadeiro vencedor: Moonlight.
Este ano, os PGA escolheram The Shape of Water como Melhor Filme. Resta-nos esperar até dia 4 de março para ver se acertaram.
